Where you feel safe to bloom.

Hi, my name is Amy.

I believe pregnancy, birth, and postpartum are seasons of growth, change, and becoming. As your midwife, I provide nurturing, hands-on care throughout your journey, from your first prenatal visit through birth and into the early weeks with your baby. I take the time to understand your individual needs, concerns, and preferences, and to build a relationship rooted in trust. My goal is for you to feel informed, supported, and confident in the decisions you make along the way.

Midwives are trained healthcare professionals who specialize in pregnancy, birth, postpartum, and newborn care. I provide comprehensive prenatal care and education, support you through labor and birth, recognize and respond to complications, and care for you and your newborn during the postpartum period. The Midwifery Model of Care © recognizes pregnancy and birth as normal physiological processes while also honoring the importance of skilled clinical care when complications arise.

  • “Amy was part of my care during both my fourth and fifth pregnancies, and I would absolutely seek her out as my midwife for any future pregnancy. She is incredibly friendly, reassuring, knowledgeable, and easy to connect with. Every time I brought up a concern, I felt genuinely listened to and respected. She never dismissed my questions or made me feel silly for asking them. Instead, she consistently responded with connection, validation, and helpful information. I always felt safe bringing something to her because I knew I would never be met with a simple, “Don’t worry about it. It’ll be fine.” She took my concerns seriously while still helping me feel reassured and empowered. She also gave me advice that ended up being especially meaningful to me. I had expressed concern about my water breaking well before contractions began, since that could have affected my ability to have the home birth I wanted. Amy recommended vitamin C with bioflavonoids, and this time my baby was ultimately born en caul. I still credit her recommendation as one of the things that helped give me such a positive outcome. Amy has a wonderful ability to combine warmth and reassurance with real competence and thoughtful care. She made me feel safe, heard, respected, and empowered, and I would trust her completely as my midwife.” - Jamie C.

  • "The quality of my pregnancy, labor, and postpartum care was greatly influenced by having Amy as my midwifes birth assistant. Amy was very attentive to me throughout my pregnancy at any appointment that she would attend. She always gave me extra care and talked to me in depth about any issues I may be experiencing. My labor and delivery at home felt so nurturing because Amy was by my side the entire time! She was very encouraging, comforting, and exactly what I needed without me saying anything. When I felt overwhelmed, she helped to ease my anxiety and informed me of everything going on with my body. Delivering my son into her arms, she was so attentive to my care as well as his. I’m extremely grateful for the love and care that I received from her and would be honored to have another pregnancy and delivery journey with Amy as my midwife.”

  • “Amy was a pivotal part of our birth story. She helped bring our baby boy in the comfort of our home. She held the tone with her steadfast presence. Seamlessly adjusting the approach to suit the stages of labor my wife was in. Being a pillar of comfort with her sweet sense of self and empathy for mama. It all happened so fast and before long our boy was in our arms, soundly. We made our way to the bed with mama after delivering standing up in the bathroom. As we were getting our baby to latch for the first time, Amy quickly and silently cleaned up the bathroom as if we didn’t just have a baby pop out in there! Having her there brought so much comfort and ease. Having Amy at the helm of your birth team is a must. We are forever grateful and will always hold her dearly in our hearts for her presence in our story.”

  • “I have had the honor of watching Amy throughout her journey to becoming a midwife, with the unique perspective of working alongside her as a co-managing provider. I’ve witnessed firsthand the compassion, thoughtfulness, and professionalism she brings to the families she serves, and I have complete confidence in her as both a provider and a colleague.

Southwest Florida is incredibly fortunate to have such a flourishing home birth community, and Amy is truly an asset to it. I’m grateful to work alongside her and excited to see the impact she will continue to make on the mothers and families in our community.”
